10 IDP Households in addition to be provided with permanent housing
Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia (MRA) Sozar Subari and Executive Director of Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) Juansher Burchuladze have signed the Memorandum on Mutual Cooperation. Pursuant to the Memo the MDF will acquire additional houses at the cost of 100 000 EUR for IDPs in West Georgia within the “House in the Village” project. Referenced houses will be selected by MRA as per special criteria. The MDF of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia in cooperation with the MRA and with KfW funding has executed rehabilitation and construction works envisaged within long term housing arrangements for IDPs: in Tskaltubo (23 apartments), in Kutaisi (65 apartments) and in Zugdidi (320 apartments), houses were acquired also for 61 IDPs in West Georgia within “House in the Village” project.
Additional 10 households will be provided with permanent housing within referenced Memo.
591 IDP Households in total will be provided with housing under the long term housing project.
