Folk Theater Rehabilitation Works Ongoing in Mestia
Juansher Burchuladze – Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Developemnt and Infrastructure of Georgia was visiting the project site of Mestia Leo Pilpani Public and Folk Theater rehabilitation works. The project is backed by the World Bank and its cost amounts to GEL 4 334 261,83.
Under the project, the existing theater building will undergo complete rehabilitation. One storey will be added for the hotel facility, and the interior and exterior of the building will be subjected to finishing works. The theater will be equipped with advanced technologies, ventilation system will be arranged and the stage will get fully renovated.
The project also envisages arrangement of the summer circle and parking lot and improvement and fencing of the area.
Rehabilitation works have commenced in May of current year and will be completed before the end of 2017. There are 50 persons employed at the project site, majority of them are locals.
