Excrements not to occur on Kobuleti coast, sea any more
Construction of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Kobuleti City is finalized. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Zurab Alavidze visited the site.
After the new WWTP starts operation, excrements will not occur to be found out in the sea what significantly will improve sanitary condition of the coastline and reduce adverse impact on an environment, impeding at that spreading of various infectious diseases.
Total cost of the project exceeds GEL 5 800 000. Project implementation was executed with financial support of EBRD and Adjara Government. The Municipal Development Fund acquired technical equipment by means of the grant issued by the Dutch Government. Construction was commenced in March, 2016 and ended up in February 2017. There were employed 120 local residents on site.
