Tsalenjikha-Chkhorotsku Municipalities to get Connected Via a 10 km New Road
Population of Tsalenjikha-Chkhorotsku Municipalities will have a new road. In September, the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia shall complete rehabilitation of the 10km road section. Asphalt pavement will be laid and drainage canals will be arranged in the named road section.
Zurab Alavidze, Minster of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia together with Levan Shonia, Governor of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region were visiting the project site. The Minister is continuing project monitoring activities countrywide and is familiarizing himself with the situation of internal roads in various regions.
Due to the damaged asphalt pavement, the named road was inconvenient to travel on and it was an unresolved problem for the local population. As a result of project implementation, the road infrastructure will be fully arranged and the locals will benefit from the new comfortable road.
Works are backed by the European Investment Bank and their cost averages GEL 3 million.
