Visit to Switzerland
Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili together with the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Shota Murgulia, Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia Zakaria Khundzikashvili and Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia Archil Tsabutashvili was visiting Switzerland, where they participated in the Conference dedicated towards promoting “Sustainable Infrastructure Financing”.
The conference, which was aimed at gathering representatives of various countries involved in infrastructural issues and reviewing methods of sustainable infrastructural project implementation was organized by the „Global Energy Basel“. At the event, there were 10 working groups handling various issues. The Georgian delegation took part in the following discussions:
1. Sustainable infrastructural project planning methodology;
2. Water and solid waste management issues;
3. Issues concerning coordination of infrastructural project implementation with various closely-related sectors;
4. Issues concerning raising and management of funds required for infrastructural project implementation;
The conference participants were given opportunity to share experience, exchange information and establish links between one another.
