March 6, 2018
The Batumi coast protection works undergo execution by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF). The project is being implemented with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and its cost amounts to approximately GEL 56 million. MDF Executive Director Gagi Buadze and Deputy Executive Director Ilia Ghudushauri visited the site of current works.
The Batumi coast protection project envisages arrangement of the coast protecting structure of approximately 2 km length, restoration of the coastline and full rehabilitation of damaged boulevard. Aimed at linking with the restored coastline of the boulevard there are to be arranged 12 pedestrian bridges of 20 meter length and of 1,5 m width.
