The works for Vere riverbed formation under progress

 The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) conducts the works for formation of Vere riverbed in Tbilisi City. The project undergoes implementation with financial support from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its cost exceeds GEL 10 million. 

Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia and Vake District Governor Nodar Turdzeladze inspected progress of works on site. 
The works for formation of Vere riverbed from Mziuri Park up to Vake cemetery site considers cleaning of the riverbed, its formation and positioning throughout the small section within the channel, protected by means of flexible mattresses of concrete.
Since the flood of June 13th, 2015, MDF has executed many projects of significant character, inter alia rehabilitation of Tskneti-Betania road, construction of sediment trap and a bank protecting wall. Rehabilitation of Mziuri Park is also being implemented by MDF.
