Commencement of the road rehabilitation to connect 6 villages of Sachkhere Municipality

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has commenced rehabilitation of the road which connects 6 villages of Sachkhere Municipality. The project implementation is funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its cost amounts to 4.4 million EUR at average. Executive Director of MDF along with the representatives of local authorities, visited the site to inspect the works in progress.  

The rehabilitation works envisage rehabilitation of the 11-km road. Throughout the length of the road there will be arranged also r/c ditches, retaining walls of gabion and water pipes of metal and r/c material. 
The available soil road had been in poor condition, because of what movement of population was complicated. Upon the project finalization, approximately 600 households of 6 Villages (Khvani, Lichi, Ghodora, Tmani, Vakisa and Gorijvari) of Sachkhere Municipality will be enabled to move in a safe and comfortable manner.
