Rehabilitation of Technical University Center in Progress

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing the project of assistance to the  “Educational-Scientific Center for Bridge Testing” operating under the Technical University of Georgia.   The Project is backed by the Asian Development Bank and its overall cost averages GEL 6.5 million.    

Project implementation is phased. At this stage, works are underway for rehabilitation of the Center existing in the Technical University building. Besides, the Municipal Development Fund has announced bidding for procurement of modern equipment, devices and stock required for specifying the state of bridges and tunnels, including the first vehicle across the Region having all requisite equipment mounted in it.   The project also provides for retraining the Technical University staff. 
Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was visiting the project site for inspection of ongoing works.
