3 New Kindergartens are under Construction in Marneuli Municipality

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure is constructing three kindergartens in Marneuli Municipality. The projects undergo implementation with funding from the Government of Georgia (GOG), and the cost of all three kindergartens exceeds GEL 10.4 million. In total, MDF is implementing the projects for the construction and rehabilitation of 20 kindergartens in Kvemo Kartli Region. At present stage, construction of 3 kindergartens and rehabilitation of one kindergarten, have already been completed. MDF has allocated more than GEL 71 million for only Kindergartens. “The Municipal Development Fund has been actively involved in execution of large-scale infrastructural projects throughout Kvemo Kartli Region. In total, MDF has invested more than GEL 115 million in this region. Within the framework of that investment, we are implementing construction and rehabilitation of schools and kindergartens, as well as arrangement of sports infrastructure that significantly contributes to the development of both educational and social environment in the region” – Executive Director of MDF Beka Urushadze said.

Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze together with Executive Director of MDF Beka Urushadze and representatives of the State Governor’s Administration were familiarized with the progress of construction works on site.

In Marneuli Town, Tsereteli and Shulaveri Villages of Marneuli Municipality – within the framework of the Kindergartens Construction Projects - construction of playrooms, bedrooms, toilets and courtyards in underway as part of the Kindergartens Construction Project. The project envisages improvement of internal and external spaces, recreation areas, utilities and WCs. The kindergarten buildings will be fully adapted for the people with special needs.

As a result of the projects implementation, kindergarteners will be able to attend the kindergartens that meet international standards and are located close to homes.
