Revaz Sokhadze meets with Head of Asian Development Bank’s Country Director for Georgia

The Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, Revaz Sokhadze, together with the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, Beka Urushadze, and the ministry team, held a meeting with Leslie Bearman Lam, Head of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Resident Mission in Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of cooperation with ADB for the country’s development, reviewed the outcomes of joint projects, examined ongoing activities, and spoke about future plans.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in the implementation of shared projects.
Representatives of the ADB Resident Mission wished the Minister and his team success in their work and in the implementation of ongoing and planned joint initiatives.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is one of Georgia’s key partners in promoting sustainable and inclusive development. Georgia has been cooperating with ADB for nearly three decades, and this partnership spans almost all areas under the Ministry of Infrastructure’s portfolio. With ADB’s support, numerous significant projects have been implemented and are ongoing, including: improvement of water supply and sanitation systems; development of the East-West Highway; urban development of settlements; and the construction of sports and educational infrastructure, among others.
