Bidding announced for Tbilisi Philarmonic Hall rehabilitation design

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced a bidding for development of a detailed design for comprehensive rehabilitation of Tbilisi State Concert - Philarmonic Hall building.
 
The objective of the bidding is to fully rehabilitate the building, adapt it to modern requirements, intergrate engineering systems, and functionally upgrade it so as the initial architectural apperanace of the Philarmonic Hall to be preserved and restored.
 
The design process includes several stages of work, including research and preliminary design, development of a detailed rehabilitation design, preparation of cost estimates, and creation of an operating and maintenance manual for the building. Author supervision must also be provided during implementation of the project.
 
The rehabilitation of the Philarmonic Hall includes: inspection of the stage equipment and its adaption to modern technologies; dismantling and replacing of existing utilities with lighter, energy-efficient ones; changing of the layout of the building per modern standards; renovation of rooms designated for artists, modernization of elevators, and installation of security systems.
 
Moreover, the philarmonic hall is to be fully adapted for people with special needs; it is scheduled also to reinforce the structure and restore the façade, roof, attic, and stage of the building; install acoustic systems and improve the functionality of the hall; modernize the decoration hall and technical rooms; the water supply, sewage, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems are to be fully reconstructedas well.
 
Upon finalization of the project, the Philarmonic Hall will once again become a multifunctional cultural space where large-scale local and international events will be held.
 

MDF calls on insterested specialists and organizations to participate in the bidding, and to contribute their experience and vision to the successful implementation of this historic project.
