Public School #5 in Batumi under active rehabilitation

 The rehabilitation of the Public School #5 in Batumi is being executed by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The public school, designed for 810 students, will be rehabilitated in accordance with international standards and fully adapted for people with special needs.

 

As per design, the school will be equipped with all the necessary indoor and outdoor facilities, classrooms, sports grounds, and courtyards of modern standards, and heating, water supply, and sewage systems will be installed as well.

 

As a result of rehabilitation, the necessary work will be carried out to ensure energy efficiency - insulation of the roof and walls, which will ensure saving of electricity and retaining of heat in winter.

 

The rehabilitation of the public school is being carried out with the financial support from the World Bank (WB).

 

Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia Revaz Sokhadze and Chairman of Adjara Government Sulkhan Tamazashvili, as well as Executive Director of MDF Beka Urushadze and Minister of Education and Sports of Adjara Maya Khajishvili, were familiarized with the progress of works on site.
