January 26, 2026

Nato Sadzaglishvili, Deputy Head of the Planning and Evaluation Department of the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure, attended an event held between the Georgian Technical University and BIM Solutions Georgia aimed at development of BIM education.

Georgian Technical University will introduce BIM-based education, which is especially important in the context of rapid digital transformation of the construction, engineering and architectural fields. The partnership will allow us to integrate the latest software, practice-oriented teaching methods and knowledge tailored to the real needs of the industry into the educational process.

The cooperation aims to introduce international standards of BIM (Building Information Modeling) education - based technologies in Georgia, and to strengthen modern software. Within the framework of the partnership, special attention will be paid to equipping future construction engineers and architects with modern digital skills, which will significantly increase their competitiveness in the labor market.

The project is important for development of urban planning, construction and engineering fields and is to support the integration of modern global technology brands such as Autodesk, Trimble, Fine, IdeaStatica into the education system, as well as the establishment of a modern BIM training center at the Georgian Technical University.

Future engineers and architects will be provided with an academic and technological environment that will help shaping young people into professionals.

One of the most important tasks of the faculty is to train architects, urban planners, and designers who will be able to respond to the challenges of modern urban development based on sustainable development, digital planning, and innovative spatial thinking.

New technological retraining will help improve quality. Establishing modern standards will make a significant contribution to the project implementation.
