A Category IV Stadium in Rustavi being designed per UEFA standards
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure is designing a new stadium in Rustavi to comply with UEFA standards.
The company “Studio 9”, which won the bidding, announced by MDF, is working now on the design of the new stadium to comply with UEFA Category IV requirements. The preliminary design work has been accomplished already.
There is to be demolished the existing depreciated stadium in Rustavi, and be built a modern stadium with a capacity of 8,000 spectators in its place.
The project provides for the construction of both a sports field and a reserve one, the arrangement of a security system, lighting, changing rooms, media zones, and parking infrastructure.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the development of sports.
The new stadium of Rustavi will be able to host local, as well as international events.
