Rehabilitation of the Public School # 6 in Rustavi in active phase

 The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure is carrying out the rehabilitation of the  Public School # 6 in Rustavi.

The school is designed for 700 students, and its rehabilitation is expected to be completed by summer 2026.


The ongoing works were visited on-site by Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze and the Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, Kvara Chartolani.

 

The school rehabilitation project includes classrooms meeting modern standards, a library and a science laboratory, a sports hall, and landscaping of the schoolyard. The building’s heating, water supply, and sewage systems will be completely replaced.


The rehabilitation of the public school is being implemented with co-financing from the Government of Georgia and the World Bank. The project cost is GEL 7.5 million.

 

After reviewing the school rehabilitation process, a meeting was held at Rustavi City Hall, where the Mayor, the Deputy Executive Director of the Fund, and local government representatives discussed ongoing and planned educational infrastructure projects in the city, including the construction and rehabilitation of Public Schools No. 16, No. 2, and No. 1, with the Fund planning to begin works during the current year.
