Development of Sports Infrastructure Planned in Dmanisi

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure is launching two major projects aimed at developing sports infrastructure in the city of Dmanisi.
 
The Minister of Infrastructure, Revaz Sokhadze, together with the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, Beka Urushadze, and representatives of the local authorities, reviewed the details of the planned projects on-site, at the location designated for the new sports facilities.
 
The first project envisages design works  for a multifunctional sports complex with a capacity of approximately 1,000 spectators. The complex will include multifunctional sports halls, large and children’s swimming pools, as well as training and fitness facilities, halls for various types of sports, and cultural and educational spaces.
 
In the same area, construction of a technical football center and an artificial turf stadium is also planned. The project provides for a 300-seat stand, fully equipped changing rooms, sanitary facilities, and utility spaces. The infrastructure will be fully adapted to meet the needs of persons with disabilities.
 

The new sports facilities will contribute to the development of football and other sports in the region and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
