By MDF support urban mobility forum was held in Tbilisi
On December 3-5, 2014 in hotel “ Tiplisi Palace “ urban mobility forum is held with the theme: „Let’s change Tbilisi by supporting sustainable urban mobility”. Forum opening was attended by Tbilisi Mayer David Narmania, MDF Deputy Executive Director Tariel Gugava and ADB urban development senior specialist Bertran Goalu.
Tbilisi City Hall and Municipal Development Fund of Georgia are organizers of three day forum. Forum is held by ADB support.
Aim of the forum is to discuss options of transferring Tbilisi into more sustainable urban mobility in near future, which will be based on latest initiatives and experience of Tbilisi government. Problematic issues such as traffic jams and its causes will be discussed, in order to prepare an action plan how to discharge situation. Developing sustainable urban transport will reduce traffic jams and emissions. Different transport field experts are participating in forum; they will share their countries experiences for Tbilisi.
