Renovated Batoni Museum opens up in Telavi
Rehabilitation of Batoni Castle (Museum and the site) in Telavi City has been finalized. The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili has opened the renovated Batoni Museum. The attendants of the opening ceremony were the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) Maia Tskitishvili, Minister of Culture and Sports Mikheil Giorgadze, World Bank (WB) Representative Sarah G. Michael, Director of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) Gagi Buadze, Governor-Authorized Representative to Kakheti Irakli Kadagishvili and other officials.

Khertvisi Fortress will meet Tourists with Renovated Infrastructure
The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed major part of tourist infrastructure arrangement works next to Khertvisi Fortress.
The World Bank funded project at the cost of GEL 1,7 million implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was launched last year.

Zugdidi Botanical Garden Rehabilitation Project in Progress
Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure – Ilia Begiashvili together with local authorities was visiting the ongoing project site in Zugdidi Botanical Garden. The World Bank backed project under implementation by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was initiated this year; its total cost averages GEL 12 million.

The MDF has stopped the Bidding for the Business House. The referenced Bidding was announced on December 21st of 2017 and deadline for submission of bid proposals was set as to be January 23rd.

Construction of Ozurgeti Folklore Center to be finalized in October
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) is to complete rehabilitation of Administrative Building for Ozurgeti Representation of Folklore State Center. Ms. Maia Tskitishvili and Executive Director of MDF Gagi Buadze conducted the visit to inspect the progress of works on site. The construction works were commenced in October 2016. The building was in an emergency condition. The indoor interior was completely rehabilitated within the project and façade undergoes lining at present stage. The building will be adapted for the people with disabilities.

The rehabilitation works for the water supply system and road infrastructure undergo implementation in Lagodekhi Municipality. The water project was commenced in 2015; however, some variations were made to the process and finalization within the set dates failed.

Water supply issue to be solved for 17 Villages near occupation line
Over 17 thousand people residing in the villages of Gori, Kaspi and Kareli Municipalities, being in the vicinity of the occupation line will not be facing the water supply issue any more.
The residents of 17 villages of the region had had the water supply issue since 2008. The headwork out of which the villages had been supplied with water, was found out to be within the occupied site.
