Rehabilitation of Ozurgeti Water Supply System - EIB/WIMPII/W/NCB/06-1

The Georgia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Site Cleanup and Reinstatement at Vardisubani, Entrance to Telavi. Project envisages strengthening the bank of the Matsantsara River along the construction waste disposal area and harmonizing construction waste disposal area with natural environment at km65 - km67 section of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi motor road. Works under the project include River bank protection by gabion boxes and rockfill; asbestos-containing waste collection, packaging, transportation and final disposal on the municipal solid waste landfill; vertical planning of river bank within the new boundaries of the project area, leveling, landscaping (sowing of grass).

Under the Sustainable Wastewater Management Project, Contract - Preparation of Feasibility Study for the Rehabilitation of the Telavi Wastewater Treatment Plant and Technical Description and Preparation of Technical Specifications for the Rehabilitation of the Tskaltubo and Telavi Wastewater Treatment Plants- was signed.

Georgia has received a loan from the European Investment Bank toward the cost of Water Infrastructure Modernization Project II, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments for above-mentioned works.

Georgia has applied for financing from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency toward the cost of the Sustainable Wastewater Management Project (SWMP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the rehabilitation and operation of Tskaltubo and Telavi waste water treatment plants.

The Georgia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Development Project II, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Integrated Revitalization of Cultural Heritage Site in Gelati Monastery
The project envisages construction woks, arrangement of internal water supply-wastewater systems, electric power supply, heating-ventilation, kitchen technological equipment, external water supply-wastewater systems for the visitors’ center of Gelati Monastery, as well as the territory improvement works. The project also envisages procurement of furniture and equipment, and arrangement of kiosks.
