Within the frameworks of their visit in Germany, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, David Narmania and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, Elguja Khokrishvili held the meetings at the central office of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

During their visit to Germany, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Narmania and the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili attended the German-Georgian Business Forum held in Frankfurt.

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Narmania together with the Deputy Minister Giorghi Amashukeli and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili left to Germany for an official 5-day visit. The delegation also consists of representatives of the Technical University and various Georgian Companies.

After construction of the new highway, travel time from Rustavi to Tbilisi will take 15 minutes – stated the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Davit Narmania at the today’s press conference.
The press conference was also attended by the First Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Temur Murgulia, Ambassador of China, Wang Kaiwen, Consul of China and representatives of the contractor company.

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mr. Davit Narmania commenced his official visit to Cyprus . Within the frameworks of the visit, the Minister, together with the Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund - Temur Murghulia and other representatives of the Ministry visited and examined construction sites.

Road and water supply projects will be implemented in Bolnisi, Gori, Kareli, Khashuri, Tetritskaro, Gardabani, Akhmeta and Telavi Municipalities. The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia will act as a project executing agency for the above-mentioned projects. Construction of wells and water distribution pressure reservoirs will start in the villages of Gori, Khashuri and Kareli municipalities, and a drainage canal will be arranged in Bolnisi.

At the today’s session of the Government of Georgia, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia a decision was made on implementation of the national and strategic importance motor road rehabilitation, which is located in Tsalenjikha Municipality and serves as the Pakhulani Community Center and Village Saberio connecting road. The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is the above-mentioned project executing agency.

This decision was made at the today’s session of the Government of Georgia, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. Ilia Chavchavadze statue located in Mtskheta Municipality Village Tsitsamuri will undergo complete rehabilitation. The terminus will get rehabilitated, the access stairs will be reconstructed and the adjacent area will get improved. The works will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. The present project aims at promotion of local, public and tourist infrastructure development in Mtskheta Municipality.

The project of construction of a shelter for homeless was presented at the Governmental session by the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Davit Narmania. The present project will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia under administration of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. Estimated cost of the project is GEL 1 754 424.
