The ADB has Approved a Third Tranche for Sizeable Infrastructural Projects
Georgia and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have entered into agreements on financing sizeable infrastructural projects for the benefit of Georgia. These agreements were signed by the Minister of Finance, Nodar Khaduri, Director General, Central and West Asia Department (CWRD) of ADB, Klaus Gerhaeusser, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Elguja Khokrishvili and Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia, Archil Tsabutashvili.

The Conflict Zone Bordering 9 Villages will have the Water Supply Problem Solved
Water supply system improvement works will start in conflict zone bordering 9 villages of Shida Kartli. The project cot for civil works amounts to GEL 1 115 000.00. The works will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, and will be funded from its own budget.

The Asian Development Bank will Fund New Infrastructural Projects in Georgia
The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia – Mr. Davit Narmania and Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia – Mr. Elguja Khokrishvili met with management of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The discussion was concerning infrastructural projects already funded and to be funded by the Bank.

“Project of the Century”- The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia will Build a Road to Arkhoti
Pirikita Khevsureti and Piraketa Khevsureti will get connected through a 25 km road section. Presentation of the new road construction project was held in Rustaveli Theater. The event was attended by Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia His Holiness Ilia II, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Georgia Davit Narmania, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili and the World Bank representative. Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia delivered an address to the public gathered in Rustaveli Theatre, and emphasized particular importance of the road construction project.

Executive Director of the MDF Took Part in the U.S.-GEORGIA STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP COMMISSION Working Group Meeting
The regular meeting of the Economic, Energy, and Trade Working Group of the US-Georgia Strategic Partnership Commission was held in the US State Department, Washington D.C. From the Georgian side the working group was co-chaired by Mr. Davit Zalkaliani – the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Mr. Mikheil Janelidze - the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The working group meeting was also attended by Mr. Elguja Khokrishvili – Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.

The MDF Arranged Ancillary Infrastructure in the Shelter for Homeless
Late at night arrangement of ancillary infrastructure was completed in the shelter located on Moscow highway. The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has set up cottages, where the first-aid post and kitchen will be accommodated. Utility cores will be installed as well.
The first dweller entered the shelter at 2 a.m. Throughout the night, emergency groups of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Georgia, employees of the Patrol Police and Emergency Situation Management Center were mobilized on-site.

MDF Management Attended the Conference Dedicated to Discussion of the Form of Partnership between Public and Private Sectors
The MDF management was actively involved in the conference organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the World Bank dedicated to the partnership form between public and private sectors and its future prospects. The two-day conference held within the period of December 7-8 in Kobultei Hotel “Georgian Palace” was attended by the Executive Director of the Fund Mr. Elguja Khokrishvili and his Deputy Mr. Teimuraz Murgulia.

Meeting between the Private and Public Sectors
Today the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Davit Narmania met with the representatives of business sector of Georgia. The meeting was also attended by representatives of entities within the jurisdiction of the Ministry; Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Mr. Tornike Tortadze was one of them. The meeting was aimed at introduction of priorities and main attitudes of the Ministry and its entities in charge to the businessmen.
